This week we were invited for a tour of the new Parkside building which is home to BIAD and of particular interest to us, the School of Visual Communication.
The new building is large but at the same time internally compact to ensure that design students are always bumping into each other. It was designed to increase collaboration between departments and courses which will hopefully lead to even more innovative work being produced by the School.
As alumni of the BA Hons Graphic Communication course, it was great to go back to see how the new building will be having an impact on art and design education. New facilities are a great boost, especially if its intertwined with great creative thinking.
As we look to expand adaptable, we can now offer a greater arm of production services to our clients. Having access to the new building, and being located a few minutes away, we now have access to anything from a TV studio, green screen room, Apple Mac lab, conference facilities and expertise the university holds.
