Our brief was to create an immersive e-commerce site that challenged the traditional look and feel of online fashion stores, but at the same time, make it easier for customers to complete their transaction with the brand and encourage brand loyalty.
We conducted in-depth market & competitor research before executing the best practises in user experience design. We were briefed on 3 important requirements from the client: Mobile-First, Accommodate for the brands social growth & device acquisition. Values Focused, Refine & reflect the brand values to the target audience and Flexibility, multiple homepage layouts for product and content pushes.
At the time of launch, P&Co had gained a large social media following with Instagram and Facebook playing a large role in link referrals. 52% of users currently visit the store through a hand-held device. Due to this, we focused on making pages load as quickly as possible along with optimising all on page product and promotional content. Launching with mobile customers at the core of the project strategy.
The minimal design of the store basket and checkout helps customers to complete their transaction easily with no distractions. If registered users abandon their cart, the site follows up with a email shortly after encouraging the completion of purchasing the items left in the cart.
